Greetings fellow space misfits! Blues Harvest here, reporting on our recent performance at THE FORGE – Inspired by the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, on February 22nd and 23rd 2023.
As huge Star Wars and Mandalorian fans, we were thrilled to provide live music at this incredible pop-up event in the heart of London’s West End. Fans of the legendary warriors of Mandalore were treated to Mandalorian-themed photo ops, our renditions of live music from the show, and even a fully stocked bounty hunter cantina.
The launch event was attended by none other than Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal and creator/executive producer Jon Favreau. We were honoured to have them hear our rendition of the Mandalorian’s epic main titles, composed by Ludwig Göransson. Pedro was clearly impressed, miming an ‘air guitar’ and giving us enthusiastic thumbs-ups with a big grin on his face. Jon later approached us to congratulate us, saying “well done” and “thank you”.
We’ve built up quite the reputation as the go-to band for geek events, having played in comic-cons, space centres, and cantinas across the galaxy. We’ve even performed at Disneyland Paris and Star Wars Celebrations in Chicago and London, and we’re currently anticipating our biggest gig yet, at #CANTINA2 on April 9th, where we’ll be supporting rock band Ash alongside our friends Darth Elvis, Level-up Leroy and DJ Elliot!
Mark Hamill himself once declared his love for our song Tatooine Sunset, describing it as “Magnificent! The lyrics, performance and John Williams’ theme fade-out: PERFECTION.” We couldn’t be more honoured to receive such high praise from one of the true legends of Star Wars.
At THE FORGE, fans got a taste of the Star Wars galaxy, with live music performances in a cantina bar setting. We had a blast performing our favourite Mando music, including the main theme itself, Grogu’s theme, and the epic ‘Marshal’s Tale’.
We’re thrilled to have been a part of this unforgettable event for Mandalorian fans, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for our favourite bounty hunter and his little green friend when they return to Disney+ tomorrow. In the meantime, we’ll keep on rocking out in cantinas across the world, spreading the love for geek culture and Star Wars wherever we go.
