We have some amazing news about our front-man Nick Brokenshire… This April’s issue of IDW’s ‘Star Wars Adventures’ comic will feature a story written and illustrated by Nick himself!
Nick Brokenshire: Comic Book Illustrator
Blues Harvest fans may not be aware, but Nick’s comic book career has risen in the last few years, in particular his work as co-creator of ‘Amelia Cole‘ and ‘Once and Future Queen‘. Nick’s work has been published in 2000AD, Dark Horse and IDW, including cover art to an issue of Judge Dredd. Although he has drawn plenty of Star Wars illustrations in the past this is his first officially licensed venture to that galaxy far far away…
Nick has been a Star Wars fan since childhood (which I’m sure comes as no surprise if you’ve ever seen us play live), and for him this is a dream job.
IG-88: Bounty Hunter
The story focuses on notorious assassin droid IG-88. IG-88 first appeared on screen alongside fellow bounty hunters Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss and 4-LOM in Star Wars Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. IG-88 is determined to capture his crafty bounty in Nick’s story. To find out if he succeeds you’ll just have to read the comic!
As well as illustrating the story itself, Nick has created the cover art featuring the devious bounty hunter in pursuit of his prey.
Star Wars Adventures issue 9 will be available in April 2018 from all good comic book retailers.
